An artist’s book is a medium of artistic expression that uses the form or function of “book” as inspiration. Every two years the Northern Beaches Library Service holds an Artists’ Book Award attracting entries from around the world.

Books are selected from the entries to form an exhibition. Northern Beaches Library Artists’ Book Award Good news, I'm quite excited, I have been accepted into this years Northern Beaches Library Artists’ Book Award formerly the Manly Library Artists' Book Award.

This great exhibition attracts artists from all over the world and I am thrilled to be in there with them. The exhibition begins with Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec’s innovative Yvette Guilbert, the first example of a modern book where text and image were dealt with as a single, clearly conceived object, and Paul Gauguin’s manuscript and prints for his planned book Noa Noa, both of   Woolmers Estate hosts ‘A Collection of Northern Artists’, in the Frances Mary Archer Gallery, at the Nigel Peck Centre, located at the historic estate of Woolmers, Longford.
